Cubico Sustainable Investments marked two successful years of operations in the United States (US) with an event at New York’s Rockefeller Center.

The event, which took place on 4 December, saw more than 100 representatives from over 60 companies in the renewable energy sector join Cubico’s management team at the famed Manhattan landmark.

Since entering the US market, Cubico has built a strong team of investment, construction and operations management professionals, and added the first 500 MW of solar PV to its portfolio in the country during 2019.

As well as celebrating Cubico’s growth and success in the US, the event was also intended to recognise the significant contributions of the company’s partners and stakeholders.

Speaking at the event, Cubico’s CEO Stephen Riley said: “We are very pleased to see so many partners, advisers, stakeholders and friends here to share in our success in the USA and globally over the last two years and would like to thank everyone who has contributed so far.

“With your help, we look forward to continuing to shape the world of tomorrow for future generations.”

Karen de Segundo, Cubico’s Chairman, added: “The renewable energy sector is going through a profound transformation and it will be a key component to decarbonise the economy in the global effort to tackle climate change.

“Cubico is exceptionally well positioned to play a pivotal role,” she concluded.
