Cubico is pleased to announce several significant milestones achieved in Colombia, reinforcing our commitment to accelerating the country’s transition to renewable energy.

Two of our solar projects, Andalucía and Puerto Tejada, have been successfully energised, adding a combined capacity of 39 MWp to our portfolio. This brings the total operational capacity of Cubico’s solar PV projects in Colombia to 340 MWp.

In addition, construction has begun on two new projects: the Valledupares complex (80 MWp) in Valledupar and the Escobales complex (150 MWp) in Tolima. Together, these projects will create over 500 local jobs during the construction phase and will utilise advanced technologies, including solar trackers, bifacial modules, and Tier 1 equipment. The combined 230 MWp capacity of these projects is expected to come online in the second half of 2025.

These developments represent a significant step towards expanding Cubico’s long-term managed portfolio, which will bring the company’s total installed capacity in Colombia to over 570 MWp.

Camilo Toro Gomez, Country Manager for Colombia, added:

“The success of our joint venture with Celsia Energía in delivering impactful renewable energy projects is a clear demonstration of our shared commitment to Colombia’s decarbonisation journey. These recent achievements reflect the dedication and hard work of our talented team, who are not only advancing Colombia’s clean energy ambitions but also creating social and economic benefits for the communities in which we operate.”
